there will be no class Easter Sunday. 2 services. 9am and 11am. Also Sunday Evening @ 6pm. The Lord's Supper will be celebrated @ both am services. why is the Lord's supper so important?
The Lord's Supper is so important to me because it allows me an opportunity to reflect upon what Christ did for me and it's a preview of what we will all experience one day in Heaven. We have Communion as a reminder of what Christ did for us on the cross. We remember how HE shed his blood and was broken for us. It is important to never forget what HE has done for us.
Easter is something that I celebrate everyday of the year but I like the fact that we set aside one specific day to remember that Christ is no longer in the grave, but HE is risen. Having been to Jerusalem and the Garden Tomb, I can speak from experience that the tomb is empty. Christ is in Heaven at the right hand of the Father. I love celebrating the Saviour's Resurrection and sharing the Good News of the Gospel with others. I also enjoy all the Easter candy!
this is a time of reflection..a time of emptying of self...But Wo to those that don't "come right"..make sure your heart, your intent - with all that you are is given up and in the proper place...acknowledge that magnitude of what you are about to do...and if all the above in not in the "proper" place, then don't do it. i have passed on it before because of that. the regret and shame were obviously present, however...that became my starting point to be in the "proper" place at the next ceremony
