God has laid it on my heart to start a ministry to the orphans in the Baltimore area. Be praying!!! God has already started to open the door for this to happen!!! And YASM will be leading the charge!!!!

Class Fast

Just a reminder that we are fasting next Wed. from 8 pm until Thurs. 8pm when we will meet at the church for a time of prayer then for a yasm family dinner at the diner. I hope you will take this step in our spiritual journey together...

when is the last time you denied yourself of something and just spent some time with GOD, and simply said, "I love you and I want you to have preeminence in my life."?

He loves me in spite of me...when i ignore Him, He loves me. When i don't talk to Him, He loves me. When i turn on Him, He loves me. When i reject Him, He loves me. When i don't acknowledge Him, He loves me. When i fail or fall, He loves me. When i reject Him, He loves me. When i don't involve Him in the life He gave me, He loves me. When i commit horrid sin in His presence, He loves me. When i don't spend my money, time, talents, gifts like He intended, He loves me. In my darkest moment He loves me. In that place no one else in the world knows about, He loves me. In my bitterness, He loves me. In my self righteousness He loves me. When i am all alone and it feels the like all humanity is against me, He loves me. LOVE WINS...don't forget it...the devils a punk

fasting by Hockett

When this idea of fasting came to me I really didn’t know what to do about it. I knew from the examples in the Bible, that fasting was something that is done to sacrifice your body to bring glory to God. I quickly realized that my definition of fasting was somewhat vague, so I had to do a little research. I decided to ask around and the information I gathered from The Bible, internet articles and a good friend of mine blew me away. My friend shared with me some things that helped me understand how fasting can change your spritual life and improve your relationship with God. He said that fasting shows our reliance upon God for all things. It reminds us that we are, ultimately, spiritual beings. But yet how often do we neglect to remember God’s presence when we would never consider neglecting to eat! Fasting brings us face to face with how we put the material world ahead of its spiritual source.

If the point of the fast is to deny our physical senses and to focus on our spirituality, then it would be pointless to deny my body food but satisfy my flesh by physical pleasure. We are just satisfying our flesh in a different way, and in doing so missing the entire point of the fast. When you fast, replace all things physical with all things spiritual. If any activity is satisfying to your flesh, deny it during your periods of fasting for the greatest possible benefit to your spirit. Can you imagine, if we all step up and put God first in our lives, even for just one day, what He could do within our ministry. YASM has come a long way, but I truly believe that this is just the beginning!

what do I do when.....

• someone spits in my face
• someone slaps me
• my own family despises and rejects me
• the religious judge me
• those closest to me betray me
• someone publicly mocks me
• one of my best friends denies me
• those i have given to, those i have forgiven, those i have sacrificed for, those i would be willing to die for, want nothing to with me

then i slow down and ask myself.....am I Christlike?
