God and Man?

Someone says, “How can this be? He was the ‘God-Man’!”
If He was not a man – who was the Babe in Bethlehem’s manger?
If He was not God – why did a choir of angels come down from Heaven and sing at His birth?
If He was not a man – who called Himself “the Son of man”?
If He was not God – who said, “I and my Father are one”?
If He was not a man – who washed the disciples’ feet?
If He was not God – who washed them from their sins in His own blood?
If He was not a man – who was it that wept at Lazarus’ tomb?
If He was not God – who called Lazarus forth from the tomb?
If He was not a man – who hungered on the mountainside?
If He was not God – who fed a hungry multitude on that same mountainside with a little boy’s lunch?
If He was not a man – who stood before Pilate when Pilate said, “Behold the man”?
If He was not God – who caused Pilate to wash his hands and say, “I find no fault in this man”?
If He was not a man – whose hands and feet were nailed to the cross?
If He was not God – who rent the veil in the temple?
If He was not a man – who hung on the cross?
If He was not God – who moved the earth from its foundations?
If He was not a man – who cried out from the cross, “I thirst”?
If He was not God – who gave the woman at the well living water?
If He was not a man – who cried out, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
If He was not God – who said, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do”?
If He was not a man – who was buried in Joseph’s tomb?
If He was not God – who cam forth from the same tomb three days later?
I say to you today, HE WAS MAN! HE WAS GOD! HE WAS THE GOD-MAN,
And He is mine!
