To be a disciple of Christ means to have a desire to follow Him with all of your heart. So many times we will say we want to be a follower of Christ and yet we allow finances, circumstances, family, significant others and so many things to distract us and to persuade us from the Lord Jesus Christ. To be a disciple means that you are willing to give up on your dreams, your goals, your desires and to empty yourself of all of yourself so that you can be filled with the Lord. As you are filled with Him, His thoughts, His ways, His desires, you begin to follow Him completely and to do all that He asks and requires of you. A disciple will be faithful in every area of their lives. A disciple will make time to read the Bible each day and to pray and develop a deeper relationship with the Lord. To be a disciple of Christ will cost you so much and yet you could never do enough for the Lord when faced with the reality and the facts of all that He has done for you.
